Let’s talk about Amplifier.
Belgian tripel, 8.7%ABV. Named Amplifier because it cranks hard.
A seasonal beer brewed for chilly weather. little sister to Comforter, flavors of banana, Belgian yeast, malt, and a little bit of alcohol. It is big at 8.7%ABV, but it is deceptively light on the pallet. This is a beer that will kick your behind. This is my favorite Belgian beer that we produce. I know, last blog post I mentioned that Recliner was my favorite, well, maybe I’ve changed my mind. (Next blog post I may need another disclaimer about a favorite beer.)
Pilsner malt, a bit of Munich for color and malt flavor, and low oil hops to balance out the maltiness. This beer is dangerous! Our Belgian yeast blend adds a tiny bit of pepper on the dry finish. The blend is a bit of happenstance, mostly an idea of what would would play nice together. I’m happy with it, and I think you will be.
Tettnang, Saaz, and a bit of Cascade. Amplifier only has an estimated 30 IBU’s.
We have it in cans, at least some (sorry if we’re out when you come in, you can always call ahead or take a growler). If you grab some to go with dinner, I think it pairs nicely with chicken, pork, and seafood. No wonder everyone loves tripels so much!
